A Confession

Some time ago, I announced plans for a Torin Youth sequel, and while the story has been planned out for a while, I often lose my motivation to continue work on it. I won’t lie—I love my story and characters very deeply (as I have since I first created them over 15 years ago, but the apathy that they’ve been met with is soul crushing.

The Felarya community doesn’t know my characters. They don’t care to know either. I’ve started reworking the story to remove references to Felarya in hopes of finding a new audience but this process hurts because Felarya is where they belong. I don’t want to take them out of the setting.

I feel the need to withdraw from social media for a while, until I get my feelings sorted out. I still have commissioned art of Bia and Leon coming and I will share those, but beyond that, I just want to distance myself to clear my mind and heart.

I enjoyed the story and would love seeing a sequel to it. Especially if it involves traveling the mainland. And I say boo on all those who don't like this fitting in with Felarya. Hater's gonna hate, Even Karbo never cared about stuff not fully fitting in with the lore of Felarya. (They even complimented my weak story back in the day even though I flubbed some stuff. And your writing is shakespeare compared to mine.)

It’s not that people don’t like it fitting in, it’s that practically no one cares. I’ve been trying to find readers. I’m probably going to publish it to find an audience.
