Kensha Beasts are feared among Felarya's giant inhabitants as one of the dangers that they must face. The wolf-like Kensha Beasts are vicious, and known to live and hunt in packs. If you spot one alone, it's most likely on death's door. But there's one Kensha Beast on Iracal Island that appears to be the exception to the rule. This creature roams the wilderness alone, preying on smaller creatures and avoiding other Kensha Beast packs. He is named Nosys, but most of Iracal Island's inhabitants call him "the Lone Kensha Beast". The Torinian people have encountered him in the past, since his habit is to hunt small prey. The venerated hero, Pyros Taiyo, hunted him and managed to inflict a grievous wound on Nosys, robbing him of one eye. Before fleeing, Nosys shocked the Torinians with his ability to speak as he promised, in his unsettling voice, to get even.

Without a pack to hunt with, Nosys is forced to scavenge or prey on smaller creatures, meaning human adventurers are more likely to encounter him. Though he is capable of speaking and is intelligent, he probably won’t be in a mood to conversate. Perhaps, the more savvy specialists in speechcraft might be able to pique his interest in dialogue. Nosys has a complicated history with the Dridder named Khariklo. She is both feared and despised by him, yet Nosys finds her presence to be stabilizing, as she knows more than anyone else about him.
