Rock Harpies (proposed wiki entry revision)

Rock Harpies are most commonly found in the Great Rocky Fields. They are slightly larger on average than common giant harpies, and their feathers typically range in color from beige to orange to brown. Their talons are well suited for digging into the ground—and even the rock-hard surface of a mountain—making them a nightmare for explorers who attempt to hide from them in mines.

If there is no hole through which a harpy can draw her prey using her infamous “vacuum breath,” a Rock Harpy is perfectly capable of creating one herself. In addition, Rock Harpies are innately capable of using wind magic; the most skilled among them can create powerful whirlwinds with a single flap of their wings. Towering “dust devils,” far larger than their natural counterparts, can often be seen carving twisting paths across the Great Rocky Fields as Rock Harpies play and disturb the terrain below, potentially uncovering a meal hidden beneath the surface.
