Other characteristics: Darkness resembling vines spreads from her left eye, creeping across her body and covering more of her form as her power grows. At peak power, her body becomes entirely shrouded in darkness.

History: It is not known whether Abnoba was abducted as a young fairy or created within a laboratory. What is known is that she is an unnatural fusion of multiple fairy subspecies—namely the Canopy Fairy and the Dusk Nymph—augmented with significant enhancements. The organization responsible, known cryptically as The Cure, brought together powerful magicians and brilliant scientists with a singular aim: to engineer a predator capable of hunting other predators.

This undertaking was designated Project Huntress, a title that also serves as the name of Abnoba’s alternate personality—one that lies dormant until triggered. Over time, the scope of Project Huntress expanded. No longer limited to monstrous prey, The Cure began deploying their creation against smaller humanoid targets, eliminating opposition wherever it arose—political or otherwise.

In addition to the innate abilities of Canopy Fairies and Dusk Nymphs, Abnoba possesses a range of unnatural powers, including teleportation and the ability to phase through solid matter like a specter. When Huntress takes control, these abilities are amplified many times over—especially under the cover of night. Beneath the light of a full moon, she reaches her apex, becoming abyssal: her body darkens completely, and she grows to a towering height of 150 feet (45.7 meters). In this state, Huntress wields one of the most feared abilities attributed to fairies—size-altering magic—shrinking even other giants.

The torturous procedures inflicted upon her fractured the fairy’s mind, creating a distinct divide between Abnoba and Huntress. When Huntress is in control, Abnoba experiences only faint, dreamlike echoes of what transpires—memories too vague to trust, yet too vivid to dismiss. As a result, she can never be certain of what she has truly done. Conversely, when Abnoba is in control, she cannot access Huntress’s amplified power—nor is she even aware it exists.

Despite her nature as a fairy, Abnoba does not view humans as prey, a consequence of her painful exposure to them. Yet this does not make her safe. Moonlight serves as a programmed trigger, even in the absence of her handlers in The Cure. When it rises, Huntress awakens—her power surges, her hunger deepens, and any hesitation toward consuming those within reach vanishes entirely.
