The Cursed Blade of Y’allthilagiekk is actually called the Blade of Gunvor (sometimes pronounced Gunt-vor). In truth, the sword was never cursed; it became corrupted.

As the legend goes, when Gunvor the Great of Ur-Sagol forsook using the magical sword for defense only—as was intended by the elemental who forged it—and began seeking powerful souls to feed the blade, driven by her own increasing bloodthirst, her infamy spread far and wide as she marched toward the Akaptor Desert.

She was invincible—that is, until she challenged a sphinx to battle.

The sphinx told Gunvor that an even stronger opponent awaited inside the palace in the desert. The warrior couldn’t resist seeing for herself.

Inside the palace, Gunvor searched until she stumbled upon a room of mirrors. As the legend goes, the woman loathed the sight of herself so much that she fell on her own sword.

Her bloodthirsty spirit corrupted the blade, turning it black and insatiable.

The blade remained lost in the palace beside Gunvor’s remains until it was recovered by a team of adventurers thousands of years later.
