Other characteristics:  Pandora has glowing eyes (which she finds irritating). Her body fluid, her saliva in particular, also has a cyan color luminescence.

Pandora is an introverted harpy who prefers solitude or the company of others who don’t “talk too much.” She is often melancholic and rarely expresses strong emotions. It’s not impossible to make her smile, however—she finds pleasure in conversing with quiet, introspective people like her. Calming music and songs are also things she adores. Naturally, she feels put off by Helia’s energetic personality while gravitating toward the other harpy’s human friend, Atreus.

Though her species of harpy originates from the Evernight Forest, Pandora lives in the forest in the foothills of Mount Litocoro on Iracal Island, known locally as Crystal Island. She's a young harpy, and like all young harpies surrounding Torin City, she has a complicated view of humans as a giant predator. Whereas the older generation typically sees the humans there as prey that they tolerate and perhaps eventually develop attachments to, the younger generation typically sees humans as equals. As such, she will not eat a Torinian human. Non-Torinian humans are still prey in her mind; however, eating them can often leave her feeling conflicted about why she makes a distinction. There are cases when a human is so talkative or noisy that they make Pandora’s choice to eat them a remorseless one.

Among the Torinian humans, Pandora has a reputation for being one of the most difficult harpies to approach. This is mainly due to the fact that she is nocturnal and strongly dislikes sunlight, which doesn’t give humans many opportunities to interact with her. Torinians also have a tendency to be prejudiced, and with her mother having fallen out of favor with the people there, some citizens see Pandora as guilty by association. Due to her nocturnal nature, Pandora prefers to approach the city on the mountaintop only at night. Thus, the night watchmen at the city's walls are the most familiar with her. In the rare times when she is awake during the day, Pandora keeps her eyes shut and moves about without using them. With her species originating from the Evernight Forest, a place of near-lightless existence, her other senses are already heightened so as to make life without her eyesight relatively easy.

A characteristic that stands out about Pandora is her bioluminescence. Her eyes and body fluids, particularly her saliva, glow a bright cyan color. Having an aversion to bright light, Pandora feels somewhat cursed to have eyes that emit light. Unfortunately, she has no control over it. This is another reason the harpy often keeps her eyes closed.
