“The Accuser—she goes to and fro throughout Felarya, and up and down in it, tearing bonds asunder, turning the upright from their path, and laying claim to once-righteous souls.”

Eris is the consummate rebel, one who has always had a problem with any authority but her own. It is said of her, “The Accuser breathes lies as mortals breathe air.”

The succubus has no loyalty to Hell, nor any interest in collecting “tawdry” wayward souls. Eris seduces and draws souls to Hell primarily for the love of the game. Rarely does she even devour those she leads astray. This gave rise to the saying, “The Planeswalker sows while others reap.” Indeed, Eris appears to desire only those souls that seem truly incorruptible, which means the ones she chooses to keep for her own pleasure are few and far between.

Eris is able to project herself incorporeally into other dimensions, appearing in several places at once while typically remaining invisible. This ability is known as “planeswalking.” She whispers into ears, sowing discord and tempting souls. She can also manifest physically, but doing so requires her to focus all of her attention on that single form, ending her other projections—while her true self remains in Hell.

She is a powerful illusionist and is innately skilled in fire magic. Yet despite these powers, she enjoys the thrill of melee combat most of all. A warrior at heart, she rarely turns down a challenge to duel with weapons, her favorite being the morningstar.

I wanted a succubus to be the antagonist of the sequel to Torin Youth. I didn't think the canon characters fit what I was looking to do so I created my own and called her Eris. This is my first concept sketch so some minor details will likely change.
